Total preview Item price, service lines, credits, estimated taxes, and receipt impact are visible. Fictional totals.
Boundary state Tax and fee estimates are intentionally informational and do not trigger collection or submission flows. Review surface only.
No tax entry The route does not ask for tax IDs, exemption documents, billing addresses, or private records. Review labels only.
Receipt impact Estimated lines connect to buyer receipt, seller statement, refunds, and support evidence. Trace before launch.
Approval gate Final totals need tax rules, fee versions, refund rules, and approval history first. No live calculation.

Buyer Total Preview

  • Item price, accepted-offer price, auction closeout price, quantity, seller terms, and credits stay visible in one review.
  • Totals should refresh when a buyer changes shipping, hub pickup, local pickup, rewards, or split credit choices.
  • The demo uses fictional totals and stops before payment, order creation, address entry, or private tax details.

Service Lines

  • Hub intake, item check, packing, pickup release, shipment, insurance, and event service lines should be named separately.
  • Seller-funded discounts, buyer-paid services, rewards, and support-issued credits should never be blended into one vague adjustment.
  • Each line needs a plain reason so a buyer can understand what changes when the handoff choice changes.

Estimated Taxes

  • Checkout review should show tax as an estimate until launch tax rules, address validation, exemptions, and marketplace owner approval are connected.
  • International routes need separate duty, import tax, restricted-category, and return-cost notices.
  • Tax estimates should be informational in the demo and should not ask visitors for tax IDs, documents, or private billing details.

Exemptions and Adjustments

  • Exemption states should show as review-only status labels until permissioned review, expiration, and supporting records exist.
  • Refunds, partial cancellations, undeliverable shipments, and missing-item reports need clear tax and fee adjustment records.
  • Support should be able to explain why an estimate changed without exposing private customer data to the seller.

Seller Statement Impact

  • Seller statements need gross item value, marketplace fee, hub service lines, shipping deductions, refunds, credits, holds, and release status.
  • Seller-facing fees should match the buyer receipt and settlement ledger while keeping buyer contact details private.
  • Disputed fees should link to support evidence, return status, payment dispute review, and owner approval history.

Owner Approval

  • Owners should approve tax estimate wording, service-line labels, fee rules, refund adjustments, exemption display, and receipt fields.
  • Launch review should confirm checkout, cart, receipts, tax records, seller payouts, settlement, support, and notices tell the same total story.
  • Rollback should pause new checkout totals while preserving receipt previews, cart snapshots, and support evidence.
