Search and indexing readiness
Show how the current demo stays hidden from search engines while a future launch could safely expose storefront, category, listing, seller, guide, and hub pages.
Demo Indexing Safety
- The current demo stays noindex, nofollow, noarchive, nosnippet, and noimageindex through page metadata, headers, and robots rules.
- Placeholder domains stay separate and ambiguous until an owner approves a public launch path.
- Demo routes should never advertise live inventory, checkout, payment collection, or real user accounts.
Public Page Plan
- A live marketplace can expose the homepage, category pages, product pages, seller storefronts, hub pages, guide pages, and public policy pages.
- Each page needs a unique title, description, canonical URL, visible inventory or guidance, and links that resolve without falling back to the homepage.
- Category pages should prioritize trading cards, retro games, gaming gear, GPUs, sneakers, collectibles, and local pickup before broader categories.
Private Page Plan
- Account activity, saved searches, checkout, cart, inbox, support cases, staff queues, settlement review, and internal operator pages should stay out of public indexing.
- Private pages need login controls, access checks, noindex headers, and safe redirects before any live account system connects.
- Support and finance pages should expose public policy guidance without exposing private case, payout, or ledger records.
Structured Data Rules
- Product detail pages can use Product and Offer markup only when the page clearly matches the purchasable item state.
- Seller ratings and reviews should only appear in structured data after verified customer activity exists.
- Hub pages should use local business markup only for approved, real locations with verified address, hours, service area, and ownership.
Sitemap Scope
- The demo sitemap is kept behind noindex and used as a route integrity map, not as a public acquisition channel.
- A launch sitemap should include canonical storefront, category, product, seller, hub, policy, and guide URLs only.
- Low-quality duplicates, expired private routes, checkout states, report cases, staff tools, and internal finance pages should be excluded.
Merchant Page Readiness
- Listing pages need exact product titles, images that match the item, price or bid state, condition, seller, handoff choices, and return terms.
- Auctions need reserve state, bid count, close timing, winner state, and support hold rules before they are exposed as launch-ready commerce pages.
- Buy-now listings need availability, quantity, pickup or shipping choice, fee visibility, and checkout review ownership before launch.
Local Hub Search
- Hub pages should show service area, hours, accepted categories, intake rules, pickup windows, fee notes, event calendar, and issue handling.
- Launch review should confirm which hubs are real, which are planned, and which are hidden until staffing and operating rules are approved.
- Local pickup pages should connect search filters, listing cards, hub profiles, pickup scheduler, and release rules.
Launch Approval
- Owners should approve indexable page types, private page rules, merchant markup rules, sitemap scope, robots rules, and rollback controls.
- Search launch should be tied to service health, catalog quality, media evidence, policy pack, privacy controls, and owner handoff.
- Rollback should be able to return the site to noindex, remove merchant markup, pause sitemap updates, and hide routes with bad inventory or policy gaps.

Current demo state
The demo is intentionally hidden from search engines.
The current site uses noindex metadata, noindex headers, robots rules, and ambiguous placeholder domains while still keeping a crawlable route map for reviewer QA.
Future platform state
Live indexing needs owner approval.
A launched marketplace needs approved canonical URLs, public page types, private route rules, merchant markup, sitemap scope, local hub rules, Search Console ownership, and rollback controls.
