Policy page

Buyer protection and marketplace rules

Policy pages need to be clear enough for buyers and sellers to understand handoff, reports, auctions, returns, and restricted items before they act.

Buyer Protection

  • Orders show item details, photos, seller, handoff method, and review window.
  • Report flows collect order record, delivery or pickup confirmation, item photos, seller messages, and requested resolution.
  • Reviews open after a purchase or auction win is tied to the buyer account.

Seller Standards

  • Listings need accurate title, category, price, condition, photos, accessories, and fulfillment terms.
  • Seller profiles show rating, sales, response speed, return setting, and recent reviews.
  • High-friction categories can route through hub intake for stronger condition records.

Auction Rules

  • Current bid, reserve state, minimum next bid, top bid, and bid history stay together.
  • Instant buy appears only where the seller enables it.
  • Won auctions move to My Market with review and report actions.

Returns and Reports

  • Return settings appear on item detail before cart review.
  • Lost, missing, damaged, and wrong item reports require documentation.
  • Support case status should remain visible in purchase history.

Purchase Protection

  • Review issue windows, evidence checklists, seller response, hub proof, return status, and refund review.
  • Use this route to see the buyer-facing protection flow connected to order history.

Refund Policy

  • Eligibility, evidence, timing, seller response, routing, appeals, and owner approval stay reviewable.
  • Refund language should stay clear before bid, offer, cart review, and support review.

Hub Handoff

  • Hub pickup uses time windows, item release notes, and pickup confirmation.
  • Counter intake records condition notes, packaging status, and accepted-category checks.
  • Local drops group eligible inventory into auction sections and event views.

Restricted Items

  • Illegal goods, stolen property, counterfeit goods, prohibited weapons, fraudulent documents, and unsafe items are blocked.
  • Listings with restricted content should be removed from feed, search, auctions, and pickup flow.
  • Seller accounts may lose access after policy violations.

Policy Pack

  • Review buyer, seller, hub, payment, privacy, support, and owner approval coverage in one place.
  • Use this route to confirm visible policy pages match operator review needs.

Current demo state

Policy and support flows are represented with guided cases.

The demo shows report types, required evidence, seller response, moderation paths, return cues, support review, and outcome options.

Future platform state

Launch trust workflows need enforceable operations.

Launch needs staffed queues, evidence upload, refund authority, appeal history, seller enforcement, prohibited-item controls, and audit trails.
